My dad shot his first deer on Thursday and it was a spike horn. On the last day of deer season, yesterday as of this comment, I was with my dad and dads friend hunting and a huge doe that my dads friend couldn’t get a shot on because it was at an awkward angle to the side, but I could have reached out and touched it it was so close. There was also mature 8+ point bucks that where in the next field over, out of property that knew where not to go, so they went into the woods and vanished sadly

I went on my 2nd youth hunt this year.
It was at my aunts here in missouri.
A group of 3 deer came out.
I saw the big doe, but it went behind a tree.
I ended up shooting a button buck that i call Nick.
    It was my first deer!
It was a good season for my family, we have killed 6 so far, and in hoping to get a doe this weekend!
I wish the best of luck to all of the Growing Deer team, and may god bless!

I shot a big doe in a food plot in Jacob from 137 yards hit her in the shoulder but didn’t find a lot of blood and I broke her front shoulder and found yards from the shot. Do you know why there wasn’t any blood
