Your right, the past month or so it has been brutal getting out scouting with gear to set up and food to put out on 2 to 5 mile hikes in this heat down here in Georgia, but in doing so I’m really hoping that it may pay off at some point in this season to come. Thanks for the shared experience’s and the boost of morale as always. Keep it up and can’t wait to see what we all have in store this season. God bless and stay safe.

Down here in Virginia there’s almost too many acorns. Red oaks are dropping like crazy now.

I wonder of this guy’s realize that not everyone hunts in flat farms or pretty fields 1000s of hunters only have mountain and rough terrain where you can’t do half of this bs

2 weeks from the MN opener. I go out when the wind favors spots b4 the opener so I can check on the white oak production. I will check another couple of spots Sunday & Monday cuz I believe that acorns might have just started dropping in the past week. I setup several areas in March & April & saddle hunt them when they r prime. Didn’t hunt due to Louisiana weather in September here last September. Quite different this year ➕ my spring work makes me much more versatile & prepared.

I’m not a huge believer in the deer scent thing. Just last night I had 2 deer looking right at me 10-15 yards from me directly downwind. And I was standing next to a bush. 0 cover. Sure there are stupid deer but this isn’t the first time.
Elk, now that’s a different story.
