Hi, I love your videos, always so inspiring. I am from the UK and really enjoy seeing how you garden in Oregon.
By the way, where did you buy your sandals Laura, I love them.

  5. urface151 on June 15, 2021 at 7:21 pm

I love the fact that as windy as it is y’all didn’t get the wind sound in your video. And this island is like a gardeners paradise I’d be curious to know how much the island spends on annuals every year

  6. Kim Barnes on June 15, 2021 at 7:21 pm

I would love to go there someday. I am so looking forward to some fall planting

  7. Lavannya Goradia on June 15, 2021 at 7:22 pm

That was truly inspiring! thank you

  8. Allyson H on June 15, 2021 at 7:23 pm

I am In Love with this!!! Idk how in the world they maintain it all!!! So wish I could visit 1 day

  9. seriously? really? on June 15, 2021 at 7:28 pm

Looks like a mess of disparate ideas. Maybe trying too hard to incorporate canna and ornamental cabbage into a traditional bed. All that dark red purple foliage which are too dark in with the light colorful flowers

  10. Marie Baucum on June 15, 2021 at 7:28 pm

I love your enthusiasm! I like how you bring out different colors and plants. Aaron does have to move to keep up with you. HaHa!

  11. Marialice Morgan on June 15, 2021 at 7:30 pm

Thank you for taking us along. This show is on my bucket list.

  12. sola on June 15, 2021 at 7:32 pm

Zoom there, no animal, nearly no insect there.

  13. Lisa George on June 15, 2021 at 7:33 pm

I appreciate the tour, however, it’s funny how you skip past the red flowers until the end. Even the big red pillar under the pineapple that is the anchor color throughout the entire landscape was ignored for the purple, yellow, and whites. Girl, you’re so funny. You have color avoidance bad.

  14. Linda declue. on June 15, 2021 at 7:33 pm

Gorgeous!!!!! I can only imagine this in person.

  15. Barbara Harrold on June 15, 2021 at 7:33 pm

What a beautiful place:) so many flowers that I would have to stand at each bed and look at the bed for a long time to take it all in. Sooooooretty:)

  16. kareharpies on June 15, 2021 at 7:34 pm

I tried to appreciate the flowers but the planting looks so outdated. Like flowerbeds from the 80’s. Or a Victotian hothouse. When I watch the RHS flowershow’s in England I love how diverse and unique the planting schemes are. I’m sorry but these flowerbeds just dont look…refreshing.

“Oh wow, Laura is on Mackinac too!” I’m on Mackinac now, but didn’t get to this! Feeling inspired for next year after being. I love all of the monarchs on the verbena, going to have to do this next year!

  18. Dawnita Lutz on June 15, 2021 at 7:36 pm

I keep forgetting I have "full screen" and I’ve got my face pressed to the screen, so funny.

  19. Sherry G on June 15, 2021 at 7:38 pm

What a spectacular venue for a garden show!! I have to say that all the plants were beautiful but I did love the fountain grass and the dahlias. I really like the white with red centre zinnias too and it was a lovely combination. You would love the dahlias at The Butchart Gardens here on Vancouver Island! Some of the stand six feet tall and the blooms are large and amazing. I live in Victoria, BC , Canada and have visited the garden at every phase of the garden year, even winter and it is always spectacular. You need to put it on your bucket list : ))

  20. dul2011 on June 15, 2021 at 7:38 pm

I want to go next year

  21. Stephanie W. on June 15, 2021 at 7:42 pm

Is that where "Somewhere in Time" was filmed in the 1980’s with Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeves? That hotel looks familiar. Great movie! Great tour- thanks!

  22. carolina on June 15, 2021 at 7:46 pm

I would love to go visit the island; it’s so beautiful!

  23. BlessedMommy Campos on June 15, 2021 at 7:46 pm

    Amazing combination

  24. West Bay on June 15, 2021 at 7:47 pm

I’ve been to the Grand on Mackinaw, too. Your gardens at home are FAR nicer than these installations. There are no swathes of like plants, the beds don’t move your eyes in any distance. No comparison.

    byoodiful and priddy.

    Wow it gives me idea

  29. Holly Hasegawa on June 15, 2021 at 7:51 pm

How amazing that you could see all of this beauty in one location. I am so inspired to do some of these plants in my own garden, I really love the purple fountain grass, and plan on putting at least three of them in my front yard, maybe a few in my small back yard as well. I love dahlias they are such a beautiful flower with a gorgeous structure and there are so many different colors and that’s what I love. Aaron you are so good at avoiding the windy sound when you film which is just amazing. Thank you both so much this was an awesome video.

  30. Erelly Bee on June 15, 2021 at 7:54 pm

what is the name of the deep blue one? the one from the first flower bed?

  31. Ramibu 2 on June 15, 2021 at 7:54 pm

Woodland Tobacco (Nicosia). Mine here in Willamette Valley OR (zone 8) gets about 6ft tall

  32. Lori Burleson on June 15, 2021 at 7:57 pm

I had the complete JOY of being there about 3 weeks ago. The day we spent there was so beautiful – the gardens in full glory and the weather was perfect. I kept saying ‘Oh, I saw this one on Garden Answer and Laura said….’. My dream would be to go back during the actual garden show so I can slowly stroll thru each yard and not troll them from the sidewalk. 😉

I love your pallet walkway at home. I really feel it puts a lot of interest in your garden.

  38. Kim Shelton on June 15, 2021 at 8:06 pm

    Stunning!!

  39. Michelle Guido on June 15, 2021 at 8:08 pm

Have you heard about the hotel being sold? I hope the new owner doesn’t effect the garden show. I love and look forward to these videos every year.
