If you want to start your own plant nursery, here’s an observation: it’s completely possible for a nursery to fail in business even if they’re really good at growing plants. I’ve seen it too many times. It’s also possible to build a good horticulture business without ever mastering propagation or growing your own plants. What’s the difference between these successes and failures? IMO it’s an early and continued focus on sales, and then only producing plants that you’re pretty sure you can sell. In this video, I’ll tell you about 4 selling channels I’ve explored in my own small backyard nursery and how they’ve worked in my business.
