Can’t get this video out of my head ! You guys should get some kind of conservation AWARD ! I’m serious , they should play this video at every tree hugger convention around ! You guys went over and above for the love of wildlife and hunting … thank you again and again. KK
Great job guys. You one of the few channels that I will watch with my 11 yr. old son. Ethical hunters and outdoorsman. We both enjoyed this episode.
You’ll never have another situation like that again. Once in a lifetime of buck hunting.
You guys are exactly the type of hunter I love to bump into in the woods. Thanks for sharing this insane story. Very glad that the deer wasn’t wasted. Our MD DNR officers in my opinion are pretty great. Never had a negative experience dealing with them.
Man, good on y’all. Y’all did a good deed. And handled the situation legally and got some good meat for it!
Great job guys I would hate to see if suffer like that I would have done same thing
So cool … LiveAction!
What you boys did was outstanding. You guys did what most people wouldn’t of done and searched for that deer. Just imagine what that deer would of been at 5 man the imagination is going wild. But great video you guys are outstanding young men if every hunter was ethical like you guys the hunting world would be accepted more then what it is. Keep up the great videos gentlemen.
Where in Maryland do you hunt?
Good job guys
Great job guys. Shame on the person that wounded and didn’t pursue the deer better..
How many times did u turn ur head lamp on and off
I think you guys did everything right and I probably would have done the same thing
Nice work Men!
Good call, that deer would have NEVER been found, with no blood trail, at night, with so much cover, it would have been wasted. I like your enthusiasm you show in your videos! My weird story is the second day of MN gun season. I put my hunting buddy in a spot and walked out a few hundred yards early before first light. It was only his second year hunting only so he just sat in that spot til noon when I came back. As I walked up to him I saw a deer all gutted with a stick opening up the cavity less than 30 yards away from him with no gut pile anywhere. I said, "You got one!". He didn’t know what I was talking about. He never noticed the deer nearly next to him in the tall grass. He said he had not seen anyone or heard anyone shoot even close all morning since he had got there. What we think happened is that in our area, large groups of some people go out and shoot everything they see, then go dibby up tags. Because there is a 1 day waiting period after you buy a tag, I think they overshot their limit and had to wait to buy a new tag before they could come out and get it. The DNR patrols pretty heavy here so I bet they didn’t want to get caught without a properly tagged animal. We asked a DNR official later what could/should have been done, and he said that he agreed with us that this is probably what happened. If he would have found it with no one around for 6-8 hours, he would have recovered it and donated it to the food shelf.
I would have slit his throat and put him out of his misery then called the game commission. Hate to see things suffer. Good for you guys going in and taking care of the other guys screw up. You are great role models for the kids up and coming. Keep up the good work
My guess is the shooter was in a ground blind. Nice buck.
You guys did it right.
First time and you videos man it’s super cool
You absolutely did the right thing! I am surprised the first hunter did not ethically dispatch the wounded deer!
You order post the horns on fb and ask if anyone had
Shot it give them relief that’s it dead and maybe even give him the horns
I would have done the exact same thing.. Great video..
I was hunting with a buddy one time I had just got settled in and I hear something running toward me and when it got 40 yds from me I’m like wow it’s a buck well the crazy thing is it run right under the tree I was sitting in and that’s when I noticed it was bleeding and the shot was a little far back so I drew and let the arrow fly. So I got down and went to where my buddy was he was down looking for blood and says I shoot a buck I said I know I shot him too. Lol. We were 1/4 mile from each other and what are the odds that it would run right to the tree I was sitting in. He tagged it and we split the rack.
The poor shot placement makes it a good outcome scenario, the other hunter not shooting the buck is a head scratcher
You guys did the right thing calling the Game Warden. Great video and ethics, I am now a subscriber.
To bad that youngin didn’t get a few more years. good job fellas, most wouldn’t have gone about it that way.
Great job, there needs to be more hunters like this. Take care of every animal if you have a bad shot. Will subscribe.
That’s crazy! Props for following up on the wounded buck.
I found my buddy’s buck during shed season 3 miles from were he shot it
I’m not mad about the bad shot because they happen but what really gets me is whoever shot it clearly wasn’t looking that hard. It’s a shame stuff like this happens but good job boys good salvage.
Awesome and one of the best video’s!! and you DID have evevy right to claim it and what great sportsman you are to do the right thing and call Game Commission!
Great vid
This is one of the best hunting videos I’ve seen!! Great job guys
True Conservation!
You did the most ethical thing you could in your position. The previous hunters shot only hit the back straps. Keep up the good vids.
I would never ever buy an expandable broad head.
Thanks for doing the right thing boys and not letting that beautiful deer go to waste.
good job guys…..
Ya’ll did the right thing in my opinion! Well done! Was the DNR Officer named Bakeoven by chance?
Wow great job guys ! I respect that ALOT ! Really mean it guys . You two are true lovers of the game !
Great job!!!!
Awesome video Guys!! Absolutely did the right thing for sure. Can’t wait to see the upcoming videos in the next few weeks. Good luck to you and your guys and as always, be safe!
Congratulations and thank you for saving the waist of others.
