Awful display of martial arts. In know way could you defend yourself with this mess. If they was on a slippery surface they would be doomed.

This looks like a cartoon or a puppet show with little puppets trying to kick each other. Horrible!

  4. UncleAir on August 3, 2021 at 9:00 pm

I’m proud of her but this doesnt even look like a fight, all the pads and no punches, it’s…weird what is considered an olympic sport and what isn’t. We should have an official olympic UFC and kickboxing.

It’s good to see an American Olympian actually hold up the American flag. NBC is probably trying to score points with proud Americans, but we still know their “news” is biased garbage. Anyway, congratulations to that young lady!

Real taekwondo matches are awesome to watch. Tournament rules taekwondo is a travesty. They shouldn’t be allowed to even use the same word.

This is what you get when you put a martial arts in the Olympics. It is truly becomes sport, it isn’t a martial arts anymore and that tickles down to every taekwondo studio in the world b/c Olympics sets the standards of competition.

It’s the Olympics and they’re pronouncing the name of the sport wrong. It’s not TIE kwon do. Not Ty Kwon Do. It’s said “Tae” like Ted or Bed.

This commentator is WRONG, WRONG , WRONG! The First American woman to win Olympic gold in Tae Kwon Do was Dana Hee in 1988. I know, I trained with her at Golden State Tae Kwon Do in California.
