Its true you will have more opportunities to kill that mature buck but most of the time you’ll only have that opportunity for a few seconds got to be ready

I sighted my rifle out the window of my sun room. I have does and fawns out back every day. I’ve also seen 9 different bucks in the backyard too. I was going to put a couch in my sun room but if you can’t shoot them from the couch I better put a recliner in there instead. Thanks for the tip.

Here is a tip for using doe urine. Make sure you place the scent marker upwind of where you expect the buck to travel and climb a tree crosswind of the travel at least 50 or so yards away from the expected spot you think the buck will show up. Because, a mature buck will always circle down wind of the doe.

If you don’t need a monster buck you can keep hitting the same spot.
Especially if it’s pre rut to the rut. Bucks do not like other bucks in their area during pre rut and rut.
I saw 4 bucks last week in the same spot. They split up last week…..no more buddy bucks coming through in SE Pennsylvania. Yesterday they went officially pre rut. I had one pissed off at my Code Red buck urine and doe urine…..not estrus yet. (code blue works just as good….I get the three pack of code red for 12.99)
He knew I was there but couldn’t run off. Bucks are in the pissed off phase. They hate other bucks at this time and will make mistakes. I softly whistled to try and turn his head to see his points better and he ran.
He did not run as long as I didn’t move (I’m in a ground blind)
He made a big 1/2 circle around me at about 25 yards…..saw the horns above his head but couldn’t see 3 on one side. Too dark in the hollow. He’ll be back….maybe tomorrow morning. It was rainy and gray yesterday.
I’m going to start using estrus with buck urine on the 10th of october.

I have a question. At our hunting property how far can I drive my truck or side by side in?
