I love this hat! Will this stiffener work on Red Heart worsted weight acrylic yarn? And if so, will it come out if laundered or with regular wear and tear! I can’t wait for the pattern for the hat! Thank you!

I used the same product to stiffen baskets used as decoration at my wedding. In this case however should you ever need to launder the hat you would need to reapply the spray as it will wash out.

Love the hat and also the flower for the hat. You could also use liquid starch and block the hat on cardboard. Love the pearl accent on the brim. Lady from Texas.

I made this hat (minus beads and flower) in Lion Brand 24/7 cotton yarn in "aqua" blue with 4mm hook for a friend. It’s beautiful! However, for a more sturdy, long-lasting stiffer brim, I recommend adding 19 gauge millinery wire. Thanks for the easy to follow tutorials!!!

Wait, why didn’t you flip it over, spray and press the base side of the brim? It should improve the firmness of it I am guessing.
