Gardening Outdoors in Zone 3. . . In April?!?!
It’s a warmer than average spring, and with some smart plant choices–the kind that can tolerate cool temperatures– and some season extending covers and clothes, I’m able to save space under my grow lights and send some plants outdoors to grow.

Amazing info! Thanks so much zone 3 from edmonton Alberta and grateful to have found someone in the same zone as I! When do you start your seeds?
I left brussel sprouts, broccoli, and Swiss chard in my vegetable garden last year and I was amazed that they made it all the way up in till Spring! they eventually bolted just because they were just growing on for too long but I was so surprised! I’m on zone 6. I’m just now discovering all of the cold tolerant things, I’m so excited to start experimenting!
