Ace wee video! Makes me quite jealous, most of my stuff is just chucked on a shelf or kept in my rucksack so this is something to aim for! Look forward to the next video.

What pack or packs do you use for day hikes when you are carrying camera gear?

  8. Jennifer Payne on November 9, 2021 at 9:58 am

Enjoying Yr mountain videos. What’s the fixing you use to keep camera safely on rucksack strap? Is it really useful Thanks?

Another excellent and informative vlog, Murray. My first watch was your video from an overnight camp above Loch Lomond in the Arrochar Alps. Your buddy flashing his light was hilarious! I was amazed at all of the equipment you managed to pull out of your ‘magic’ sack that night, especially the twig burner!! Do you have an itemized list for overnight altitude camping as I am keen to do it later this year. Keep up the ace posts, thank you. BTW… How cool is it to have Lord Cameron of McNeish commenting on your post?

Excellent video pal many thanks for posting. When you think about it we spend a small fortune on the kit that helps us enjoy our hobbies so it makes a great deal of sense to look after it all in a small room such as yours. Just a small thought, I would be looking at some kind of solution where your coats are on hangers rather than on a hook as it would help to look after them a bit more, no criticism intended though! Cheers, Mark.

Nicw one mate. My significant other wants all my gear in the shed at the end of the garden. Amazing how much stuff we can gather for doing a bit of walking or camping. True what is often said, that we spend a fortune to live like a homeless person. Atb

I wish. Most of my gear is in the boot of my car, there is so much I can’t get anything else into it. Jealous.

Nice set up, more gear than go outdoors, you should take your binoculars when hiking. Nice to look through them now and again. You’ve a good wife.

  25. Cameron McNeish Outdoors on November 9, 2021 at 10:28 am

Impressive. Like your earlier situation I tend to have bits and pieces of gear scattered around the house, and garage, and in my campervan…

  26. David S on November 9, 2021 at 10:34 am

Tidy. Very tidy. You’ve pushed me over the edge Murray, I will have to buy a new house. Damn.
