So I got very angry and slightly annoyed with myself during the lockdown when I went to my local supermarket and found no fresh veg or fruit.

The fact that I couldn’t provide my children fresh veg drove me to start this little project.. and it turned out surprisingly well… 🥰

We had some old shelves lying about
And I thought what if…

Looked into getting a raised bed before
But they are quite expensive And I have never used an electric drill before…
Although, I am going to learn… because I do want to get a “proper” raised bed.

Anyway I went shops got myself some no more nails glue and some seeds..

Made the raised bed.. 😅 please let me know what you think!

I literally used soil from around my garden
Sowed some seeds
Watered them when it didn’t rain
The only issue I had was a cat would trample my seedlings and do its business..
That is why you see all the stick placed strategically to act as a barrier. It worked

And so my seeds grew and turned into what they were meant to be… 🤣

I checked up on them daily, sometimes twice a day!

Removed snails and slugs.

When it came to harvest times.. the whole family was involved 😅

It is honestly such a lovely accomplishment, that I am going to continue and learn more.. and grow more.
