Your front garden space is wonderful- it is lovely to see but why oh why do people in the US battle the cabbage butterfly with sprays even if organic?
Just pop a net over, its so easy – is there a reason US gardeners are so against them?

  19. Laurus Nobilis on September 18, 2021 at 10:57 pm

I have cattle panels to trellis on and although they are sturdy, they are not practical for me to move (because of weight) as I rotate crops … yours on the other hand would be!!! I think you have made a lovely statement in your front lawn 🙂 I absolutely love the black!

  20. Ken Zhu on September 18, 2021 at 10:59 pm

LOVE this garden. We just moved to a place with a fairly plain front lawn. But it gets TONS of sun. We’ve got hundreds of tulips on the way, some hyacinths, and other flowers. Going to make a veggie garden with pollinator areas planted around. Your garden is a great inspiration!

  25. yxhernan on September 18, 2021 at 11:09 pm

Love your garden. Do you have a video for the tomatoes trellis? Please share link.

  29. TiWanTiWa Abibiman on September 18, 2021 at 11:13 pm

Grass-schmasss! We can’t eat grass so why have it in the front yard? Growing food is more important and necessary. All those neighbors giving you side eye will be knocking on your door for some veggies when the stores close down again or there are long lines again…

Try planting peppers or move the basil into the bed with the Napa cabbage that the leaves were eaten. Dusting with D.E. in a salt or pepper shaker will stop the bugs on the leaves and the soil. GREENHOUSE!!! We all need some kind of garden "house" in/near our gardens, even if it’s a portable/collapsible one. You can always put other fruit trees in containers later…

  37. Michael Blankenberger on September 18, 2021 at 11:33 pm

I may have missed it, but what is your spacing of the vertical section? It looks about 2 to 3 foot and is exactly what my wife and I are planning.
