    Do these containers need drainage?

  2. Natalie Fisher-Spalton on August 11, 2021 at 9:18 pm

Lovely container! Thank you.  It is challenging to find such lovely fresh looking plants as you’ve used.  I was just in a big garden center yesterday and so many of the annuals and perennials look tired and withered.

I never see you put any rocks or drainage material in the bottom of pots – Is it unnecessary? How do you keep the soil from falling out the holes?

    Very beautifull

I have trouble with all of my super bells, no matter where I have them. The ants have killed them, the sun crunched them, they don’t appreciate shade, and so far, the best surviving one I have, is in a pot with extremely heavy clay soil. I can’t get them to survive the way anyone else does!!

Hey Laura, I always have a lot of luck with superbells (calibroachoa), but for some reason none of mine are blooming right now. I have them potted with gazanias because I die for that combo, and the gazania got a bug, so I was spraying with ENDALL (recommended by my local nursery). But I think it really hurt my plant! It for sure burned the flowers and they all died and fell off. But normally they just constantly bloom and grow, but they are totally bare of flowers and the leaves and foliage is slightly yellow!! I’m so sad because it happened to all three of my superbells…. any advice to get them back to blooming like crazy?? I have moved them to a sunnier spot and feed them.

Beautiful! I have very long concrete planters much like the size you planted here. I have struggled for years with what to put in them and usually just would plant all of one thing. Watching this video unleashed MANY wonder ideas. Thanks again!

  34. Tom Ardans on August 11, 2021 at 10:06 pm

You can raise the trough up using empty tuna cans. They look really cool, like bun legs on a sofa.

  35. Barbara Lindberg on August 11, 2021 at 10:07 pm

Every time I see that wrought iron railing I drool. I hope in a Q&A you can tell us who made it. It’s stunning.

  36. Kyra D on August 11, 2021 at 10:09 pm

I absolutely love this arrangement. The plant colors have such great Fall appeal and complement each other so nicely. I am inspired as usual! (Inspiration which equals money spent at garden center tomorrow…haha)
