Is that ghillie top store bought or home made? Any recommendations?

  2. EIOTCLUB on October 12, 2021 at 8:18 am

Hi The Hunting Public, can you reply to me? About business
Our SIM cards has been TESTED and there are PERFECT for a variety of IoT devices and can be used with hunting cameras

Theres gonna be a million guys in the woods this fall rolling around on the ground or shaking trees like sasquatch trying call. It all depends on the part of the country you hunt. If the age class of bucks in your area where you may only have 1 or 2 bucks older than 2 yrs old, calling may not be very effective and if it does work dont be surprised if you see a young deer come in all bristled up. If hunting pressure is above average, odds are pretty good other guys are doing it as well and you end up educating what your hunting. I have had it work and i have also witnessed deer run away from the sound of a rattle or a grunt.

  4. Eric Hanss on October 12, 2021 at 8:28 am

I really like ground hunting early season and real late

  5. Boomer2228 Gaming on October 12, 2021 at 8:29 am

Zach is one of my favorite guys on the hunting public! He’s HILLARIOUS! Someone told him that they liked his videos until he used face paint, he said "DARN"…. its a you gotta see it for yourself lol.

I hope someday I can hunt with him and he can get me set up on some big bucks!

Keep at it guys! You guys are AWESOME!

  6. Barry Weaver on October 12, 2021 at 8:33 am

I hunt a lot from the ground. Have had lots of opportunities but only a little success. Now at sixty and partially disabled with hardware of my own it’s really the only way I can hunt. Satisfying just to be out there. Thanx for tips

  7. Vladimir Holecka on October 12, 2021 at 8:33 am

I wanted to kindly remind you that I sent you a message regarding the invitation of your channel to Youmaker. Please see my previous message. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards, Vladimir Holecka

Obviously your scent crushing is working extremely well what do you do ?

  9. Average Day Outdoors on October 12, 2021 at 8:38 am

Awesome advice and content! Now here is a question. Do you feel that being on the ground hunting Whitetail makes it easier to be winded or do you feel that it benefits you more being amongst all the brush and dirt? I also realize wind is the biggest factor but just over all I was curious if you’ve ever noticed a realistic difference? Im planning on ground hunting around J Clark Salyer this year since I primarily hunt North Dakota Muleys in the Badlands I Figured id shake it up haha. We at Average Day Outdoors are huge fans by the way!

  10. Luke S. on October 12, 2021 at 8:39 am

Thanks for the great tips, guys. Y’all have taught me more about deer hunting than anyone except my old man! Keep up the good work.

  11. 23DanielVincent on October 12, 2021 at 8:39 am

These are excellent tips and I will use them this Fall.

  12. Outdoors Anonymous on October 12, 2021 at 8:41 am

REally great tips here! Thanks boys!

  13. Tim B on October 12, 2021 at 8:43 am

So it’s already been asked I’m sure…. But when grant is using his feet to fake a fight or scraping….does it help to do the dance like in turkey season as we have seen a few seasons through. Every video I’ve seen when there is ground noise or imitation of ground noise deer or turkey. You boys link up almost every time. Keep it up and teaching. Coming from my stand point….I’m more a fisherman but y’all’s channel has taught me more than reading. Hopefully I can link up with my first deer this year

  14. Tom Puckett on October 12, 2021 at 8:43 am

Really solid tips Zach. One for you…keep that finger behind the trigger when you are doing your practice draws…be much easier to find the arrow. Keep em coming.

  15. Thomas Knapp on October 12, 2021 at 8:43 am

Good advice,I’ve been still hunting for 40 years.i could of killed deer with spear a lot but having the buck id shoot come through first or alone greatly improves upstate ny I have so many deer that I typically only hunt with some weather I can use

  16. Kevin Parker on October 12, 2021 at 8:48 am

You guys helped me bring it to the next level on the ground. The older I get the less trees I will be climbing. Although most of my deer have been taken from the ground, your tactics and aggressive style will help me doing what I love for many more years. Thanks guys!!

  17. dcclscott on October 12, 2021 at 8:48 am

Please do a video on how you do your scent control!! I am super interested in moving my hunting game to the ground.

  18. DIY Whitetail on October 12, 2021 at 8:49 am

I have killed my last 2 bucks from the ground. So much more flexibility from the ground. I still hunt from trees when it’s something I have set up previously, but I don’t do a lot of run and gun tree hunting anymore.

  19. Austin Oberhaus on October 12, 2021 at 8:50 am

Enjoyed hearing the old school Midwest whitetail music in there! Sweet video very helpful.

  20. iLoveNYthisMuch iLoveNewYorkThisMuch on October 12, 2021 at 8:51 am

great videos … hunting from the ground you make it look so simple but I know it takes practice and thanks for making videos like this to motivate us to step our hunting game up especially if we wanna put down Buck Legends around our areas … when I say Buck Legends I mean the Bucks in our hunting woods that ppl dream to get but have one tough time getting….

  21. Jason Govitz on October 12, 2021 at 8:51 am

Hey guys. Im thinking about purchasing a ghostblind. Do any of you have experience with them?

  22. W Fox on October 12, 2021 at 8:51 am

    How important is back cover?

  23. Logan_Proctor2002 on October 12, 2021 at 8:54 am

We never ground hunt for deer around here, but I’m gonna start now this looks like it would be even more fun cause you have to be more stealthy

  24. Ryan Mickley on October 12, 2021 at 8:54 am

You guys are some of the best out there on Youtube- constantly providing entertaining and educational videos. Keep up the great work.

  25. CATDAWG on October 12, 2021 at 8:54 am

Hi THP! First, thank you for an awesome show! What brand/type of ghillie suit would you guys recommend?

  26. GoSilentOutdoors 209 on October 12, 2021 at 8:55 am

    0:54 oh what a feeling!

  27. Chris Cornell on October 12, 2021 at 8:58 am

As the season approaches here in Maine, I re-watched this "tutorial" and several of THP’s ground-hunt videos. I’m SO glad, Zach, that you’ve fallen hard for this approach. I did, too, and my two ladder stands don’t get much use anymore. Being on the ground just feels better and more exciting to me. Hope you film LOTS of ground hunts this season, whether they result in kills or not!!

  28. FMJ_Patriot on October 12, 2021 at 8:58 am

Can you guys making a video going for over everyone’s arrow and broad head setups

  29. Materhead on October 12, 2021 at 9:02 am

Public land is weird. I live in SC so the laws for game management are different but, The first legal buck, i saw was a monster, i would guess 150’s 160’s maybe. But it saw me,. i know it alive though, so ill kill it this year.

  30. Ryan Mack on October 12, 2021 at 9:03 am

Been using the ground method for two years now because the tree I used for my stand fell. I don’t want to give up that spot. I got my first deer with a bow on the ground last year.. Unfortunately my knees don’t like being on the ground. Do yous have any videos on scent control?

  31. BurlierOstrich9 on October 12, 2021 at 9:07 am

How far would you guys be willing to drag a deer out vs just quartering it in the field and packing it out?

  32. Clarkansas on October 12, 2021 at 9:08 am

    Good information

  33. Grizzly Fish on October 12, 2021 at 9:08 am

I wanna get into bow hunting, I like hunting but to me rifle is kinda meh. What bow do you recommend people. Do you have a video on this?

  34. Dual Threat Outdoors on October 12, 2021 at 9:10 am

This is something I never would have considered until I’ve seen a lot of THP’s successful hunts from the ground! I am still a “treestand guy”, but I think this year during mid October I am going to do some freelance stuff from the ground and see how it goes!

  35. KYOUTDOORS on October 12, 2021 at 9:11 am

When I sit on my knees my legs go to sleep and makes it really uncomfortable. Any suggestions?

  36. TheMorningWoodz on October 12, 2021 at 9:11 am

Great video! We hope to put this to use on some public land down in Texas this year!

  37. Rob Greer on October 12, 2021 at 9:12 am

    Great refresher boy!

  38. Kevin Martin on October 12, 2021 at 9:12 am

Thank you idiots for screwing up the land access in North Dakota…..

  39. ROX on October 12, 2021 at 9:12 am

    Excellent tips…Thanks…

  40. M Maple on October 12, 2021 at 9:13 am

Hunting from the ground is the best way to hunt! I started hunting by myself over 12 years ago from a ground blind. Loved every second of it. Then I bought into the whole tree stand hype and got myself a ladder stand. Eventually got onto public land and used a climber for years. Over the last four years my climber has been collecting dust in my garage. I’m back on the ground and won’t go back in a tree ever again unless it’s a ladder stand… but even then doubtful. I prefer sitting in a deadfall or tucking myself into some brush, or finding a spot to sit on a dove stool. I rarely have to carry in more than my bow and a backpack- I can just strap my little stool down to my backpack if I bring it. I love the mobility of ground hunting and not to mention the safety of it. It truly connects you to the roots of what hunting really is.

  41. Matt Perry on October 12, 2021 at 9:14 am

great video. the top 5 are great

  42. Jay w4zxt on October 12, 2021 at 9:15 am

Killed 2 of my best with a bow in bush honeysuckle. Man you can be invisible in that stuff. Open timber, I’ve had smaller bucks come in to scent check my clearing zone. Haha.

  43. Valscorn01 on October 12, 2021 at 9:16 am

Reason I hunt from the ground: I can’t afford a tree stand or saddle lol

  44. Joshua Gibbs on October 12, 2021 at 9:16 am

After watching THP, I started making more noise on the ground. BIG difference. Called in 4 bucks last year and took 2 of them. Thanks THP!

  45. Peter Dragon on October 12, 2021 at 9:17 am

Thinks for the tips good tips at that
If a guy went out bow hunting with just the tips from this video
Should be no time before the hunter’s heart would get to beating
