Thank you, I watched this while it was raining during my hunt and using your tips I killed a big Tom.
I have one of those $20 umbrellas and it’s one of my best investments
I need to remember my bread sack for my Box in the light rain.
mddae31,Do you think gun camo is important? I’ve been told that it isn’t, but seems like it would help a lot with movement.
Finally, a good video with REAL tips for hunting gobblers in the rain. Great video. I appreciate the info.
Do they gobble in the rain
Shiit talk about te fall rain lok
What about in this cold weather that we will be getting this weekend in Missouri?
I hunt in the mountains of SC and my experience is the turkey will move down in elevation but not quite down far enough to the very bottom. Once the rain lightens up, they are very active but they are on the move again and food plots is not where you want to be, but on higher elevation points. But it’s tricky when to get higher quickly means to go through very open woods and being seen is a possibility.
do they gobble good in the rain?
Thanks Boss I appreciate your time
Question. your opinion on a turkey’s memory. maybe the next video. thank you in advance
Matt I’ve killed over 30 cobblers I’m 32 yr old and have never killed a turkey in the rain. I want to. I can only hunt public land here in VA I’m at that may hurt me because all fields are on private
New at turkey hunting and learn from each of your videos. You may have answered this question before but will you comment on how, or if, different weather conditions affects the time of day and the frequency a turkey gobbles.
This year I started hunting turkey seriously. I haven’t filled my tag yet but I finally spotted few turkeys afar. Well the season ends this weekend and the forecast is rain. Thank you for that tip. I will dust off my deer blind and being it with me. This year is my learning year so hopefully I can bag one next year
That’s a great tip. I’ve been turkey hunting since the mid ‘80’s and have had fields or open woods that were always productive during rains. They just seemed to go to those areas (and I think for the same reasons you mention-sight over sound). Thanks for sharing. Happy Hunting to Ya
I’ve never ever once had a bird respond or come into a box call
Just wanted to thank you for the videos. Frustrated after opening weekend I resorted to watching your videos and absorbing as much info as I can. Today after two straight days of rain in California I hit the woods and put a 10in double beard on the ground by 7:30. I’m hunting public land, your tips on calling and ditching the decoys really made the difference today.
Plus this video on hunting on the rain was super helpful.
You think Turkey’s ever die of old age or just get slow and get kill by a predator?
Do turkey move around in the rain
