I quit watching these stupid hunting shows years ago. Name drop every brand they can, hunt on private lands, cost a fortune, not for any real Hunter.

  2. Cool Handz Luke on August 23, 2021 at 9:58 pm

Less hunting and more commercials next time please, there wasn’t enough commercials.

  3. Coopersboy7 on August 23, 2021 at 9:59 pm

God damn at all the expert marksmen and hunters on here. You’d think you’d all have your own show with all the shit talk

  4. Zack K on August 23, 2021 at 9:59 pm

Remind me not to hunt such a magnificent animal with a Sharp’s. Cause if I gut shot an elk, I want to be able to reload quick as possible to put the animal out of its misery.

  5. Jeremy McClanahan on August 23, 2021 at 10:03 pm

Perhaps ole Mr Primos should stick to making hunting gear and filling his freezer from the grocery store if he can’t shoot better than that!

  6. Dudley James on August 23, 2021 at 10:08 pm

Nothing like a rich goon on a wildlife preserve. Talk about loosing contact with reality! Shitty shot at that.

  7. Mark Walker on August 23, 2021 at 10:09 pm

Bad shots happen. They are more likely to happen with a 45-70 at 275 yards with an antique sight. However that chunk of lead moving that slowly will still punch a .458 hole all the way through an elk even at 275 yards.

  8. Helmut B on August 23, 2021 at 10:16 pm

never saw such a stupid bad hunter…..

Nice. Noticed he opened the breach without half cocking. Was once told that may damage them.

  15. Ben Niessen on August 23, 2021 at 10:23 pm

Whats the point of shooting a animal thats unaware……Its the same as shooting the so called hunter wenn he opens his door in the morning wenn walks out to walk to his car wenn he heads off to work,or shoot him wenn he sit in front of his TV…..Its a matter of hitting them wenn they had no idea a bullet zipped trough them then ure a great hunter…..

My point is its pretty useless to put a bullet in a living things thats not aware its aimed at/being hunted and cant fight back at all,for all pleasure hunters it would be maybe more fun to join a war where u can be hunted and hunt the same time so u can find out how it feels wenn a bullet zips trough ure chest leg arm and wenn ure unaware, then u can find ure equal cause a unarmed animal is no match for a firearm.

I dont like hunting as for me its a killing living animals that dont stand a chance only for fun……Wenn a human takes a rifle and kills other humans that are not even aware they get deadly shot then the shooter is called a sick mind and half the nation is on the look for that shooter and he is locked up a long time, but wenn u do it animals ure a hunter and its called a normal thing…

Pest control is a diffent story (crows pidgeon wild boars and what else more) Pest need to be controled but fun hunting need to stop now this moment…

Anyone else notice how much his scope moved when he was getting up and set his hand on it about 19:10

  17. Wil Money on August 23, 2021 at 10:25 pm

    Robert Duvall shot hahahaha

  18. wildrangeringreen on August 23, 2021 at 10:25 pm

a cast 400gr .45 (but these are "professionals", so I’d bet they’re using some new-fangled fancy bullet that doesn’t do as good, and personally I’d prefer that weight in .40-82 or .40-90 anyways) has plenty of energy and SD to efficiently kill an Elk past 300, it’s just that you have to be able to make the proper sight adjustments to range it and know how far to lead the animal to hit it good. The way they’re presenting this is that he got this rifle, put a handful of shots through it to sight it in, and then ran out to hunt with it (which works for 300WM, not so well for older stuff) The mount they used for the scope was the short range mount for the Malcolm style scopes (think set-it-and-forget-it 150yd and in), the long distant mounts allow for easier, broader adjustments to lob that freight-train out there (takes a lot of adjustment to get it out there, most modern scope setups don’t have enough adjustment). I hunt with ML guns primarily (other than opportunistic stuff with a modern pistol), and all of my scoped rifles have those "Rabbit-Ear" mounts and my Iron-sighted rifles have tangent sights marked for the hunting load (and I’m pretty familiar with the drift and leads on these guns, since they’re mostly what I shoot anymore). But it’s shows like this that have the Fudd’s and Bureaucrats that you have a shoulder-fired Howitzer to kill anything.

Ass holes who torcher instead of swiftly kill.

  20. Mountain Laurel Homestead on August 23, 2021 at 10:26 pm

I love this cartridge…..what bullet and fps?

  21. Peter Shepherd on August 23, 2021 at 10:27 pm

One of the most important things a hunter should know, is their ability. You sir, are way outside yours and your pathetic prayer over the animal is an insult.

  22. patrick penton on August 23, 2021 at 10:27 pm

    "Nice shooting tex"

  23. Vict7633 on August 23, 2021 at 10:27 pm

Why hunt if you can’t shoot?

  24. jaybajan on August 23, 2021 at 10:28 pm

i went to the fridge and got 3 beers took a piss then went to the bathroom again because i forgot to flush. then came back and he was still reloading that shot. smh

  25. Slick Willie on August 23, 2021 at 10:28 pm

A proper scope would have prevented the bad shots.

  26. Paul M on August 23, 2021 at 10:29 pm

oh wow a hunting video inside of a commercial!

  27. Mickey Dee on August 23, 2021 at 10:29 pm

Would have loved to see the big guy fall in the fire…

  28. real metis on August 23, 2021 at 10:31 pm

That’s right you don’t deserve it

  29. Dennis Curtis on August 23, 2021 at 10:31 pm

What a crappy first shot good hell 275 yards and y’all cant even hit the kill zone with cheating scope on. Wow pretty unimpressed go back to range and learn how shoot.

  30. Snafu on August 23, 2021 at 10:31 pm

If you can’t kill it clean take your sorry ass to the range till you can, it sucks seeing shitty “hunters” going on these hunts.

  31. H.U.D. Shute on August 23, 2021 at 10:32 pm

I have a modern made 45-70 long octagon barrel. It was designed for the buffalo round but you can shoot lesser grain bullets than the 400+. Even so, at a 100 yards, you can be accurate. Just don’t try to shoot a bullseye at 50 yards. It will shoot right over the target. Now, 200 + yards? I suppose you can sight it in for that range and kill with it. But you best be sure of the yardage. If you are off by a bit, you will shoot low. If he sighted it in for 200 and shot 275, he is luck he even hit the animal at all let alone twice. If he had seen a good target much closer, it would have been a challenge hitting it.

  32. turbohusque on August 23, 2021 at 10:35 pm

I’m not a hunter so I won’t gripe about the elk shot…but the video is almost entirely commercials, and I would be furious if someone opened my mail and was handling my rifle before I even touched it. Second, let’s hope Captain Amazing there didn’t shear off his firing pin when he dropped the block without half-cocking the hammer.

  33. Eggomania86 on August 23, 2021 at 10:37 pm

275 yards is a long poke for a 45-70 for elk! Probably borderline unethical! For elk I’d close to about 100 yards.

  34. Chuck Diesel on August 23, 2021 at 10:37 pm

Holy crap that gun is awesome

  35. Marco B on August 23, 2021 at 10:38 pm

    Shame on you. Bad shot.

  36. Trollolo Mctroloolo on August 23, 2021 at 10:38 pm

    very poor shot placement

  37. Alan LaBar on August 23, 2021 at 10:42 pm

Irrestpective of all things critical, this is a GREAT VIDEO ! Thank You. Yes – AMEN.

  38. Dusty J. on August 23, 2021 at 10:42 pm

That Elk stood there…refusing to die. Bad A. I’m going to buy a 45-70, it’ll be a Marlin or Henry. And it will only be used under 200.

  39. Henry Murphy on August 23, 2021 at 10:43 pm

1st shot….GUT SHOT. 2nd shot….even worse, left of the 1st shot, further to the rear. IF YOU CAN’T MAKE A CLEAN, ETHICAL KILL YOU SHOULDN’T BE HUNTING. Sight you gun in a nd PRACTICE. Never shoot beyond the range you can make an ETHICAL kill.

  40. Clint La May on August 23, 2021 at 10:44 pm

Stinking Gut shot! one shot, clean kill! man!!!

  41. Albert Monson on August 23, 2021 at 10:44 pm

that’s the worst prayer ever. come on.

  42. ivan lee on August 23, 2021 at 10:45 pm

Were you using a musket? Such a horrible shot.

  43. Joseph Gabriel on August 23, 2021 at 10:48 pm

    Man is best

  44. Justin Gibbons on August 23, 2021 at 10:48 pm

I wouldnt use a modern 45 70 on elk at that range. I wouldnt push that round past 150

  45. joshua reyes on August 23, 2021 at 10:50 pm

All I’m seeing is rich man hunting. Miss me with that guide crap rich boy.
